The Magic of Crazy Quilting by J. Marsha Michler

This is a terrific book! If you could have only one book on Crazy Quilting - this is the one I’d recommend! It is thorough in every aspect, and covers threads and materials and four methods for piecing, color selections transferring designs, dyeing and painting methods, embroidery stitches, Silk Ribbon Embroidery, punchneedle embroidery, lots of embellishment techniques (with tassels, ribbon, beads, buttons, etc.) and even includes the symbolic meaning of flowers from Victorian times. This great book is full of pictures and projects included in the book, plus many lovely antique crazy quilts, and best of all, some of Marsha’s own CQ projects! This book is one you must have for your reference library - the best I’ve ever seen on the subject!
