Our Fabulous Silk Dupioni Fabric, Hand-Dyed and Hand Loomed, is the most gorgeous fabric! It has a silken luster (shine) and is strong and so easy to work with!
For those of you who haven't tried Silk Dupioni it is my favorite fabric! We have it in many, many colors, and continue to get more in every day. It is a very stable, non-"wiggly" type of silk. It is very thin and has a crisp texture. It is easy to cut with scissors or a Rotary cutter, and is not only great for Crazy Quilting, but for making silk Quilts as well!
It comes in such beautiful colors! Some of our colors are solid, but many are Iridescent - meaning their colors are produced by using a different color in the warp and another in the weft of the weave. Sometimes it is very smooth, and there are almost always some "slubs" in the fabric. This is due to the hand looming process. It is different in this way from the Silk Shantung which is machine made, and very smooth. Personally I really enjoy the interesting textures in the Dupioni. It is less expensive, even though made by hand, and it's iridescence is intensified by the hand looming process. (Iridescent Silk Shantung does not show the color shading as well).
Silk Dupioni is great for embroidery, Silk Ribbon Embroidery, any kind of piecing, applique, beading, ruffling, or other three dimensional techniques. Though thin, it is very strong and can be used to create small bags, garments, doll clothing (it's perfect for this because it is so light and easy to work with, even on a tiny scale!) and other projects.
When you are a member, you will receive four fat quarters of Silk Dupioni (approx. 18" x 22") every month, including postage for $15.80 per mailing. This is a discount on the fabric, plus the lowest shipping we can offer to those in the US and Canada!

Simply order this item, You will see that the price is $.01. Signing up is actually free but I can't put an item for sale up on the website without a price. You won't be charged the penny.
If you wish to receive the packages every other month, please make a note in the box on the right indicating Odd, or Even numbered months. If we don't see any notation there, we'll assume you're signing up for every month's package!
Continue on to the Check-Out portion of the website. This is a secure section where you will fill in your name, address, email address, phone number, and credit card number (the one you would like us to use when sending your packages!). As you continue through the Checkout process, choose the shipping choice that is for Club packages and costs $.00. Then, just complete the order. (Your card won't be charged.)
This way we can put you on our list of members with all the information we need to send you the packages. We never charge your credit card until the packages are ready to ship.
Please note: We have a few members outside the country. For you we do have to add some additional shipping. It will depend on how much each package weighs!
