What's New at Evening Star Designs!

March 12, 2007

Wow! It's been nearly a month since I've been able to get
a newsletter out to all of you! So many things are going
on here at ESD! I hope you'll all take the time to check
them out.

Have you signed up for the Treasures Club yet? We just got
out the first issue and it was a beauty! I always have to
estimate how many to make, and I add a few extra (just in
case) so we do have a few packages still available.
Because the package didn't go out until last Wednesday,
I'll wait until Monday to add a picture and description of
the packages still left - so be sure to take a look!

Free Patterns!
I've been working on this for some time - I'm still not as
savvy with the internet as I'd like to be! I've added two
free patterns to the website, and will be adding several
more soon.

Finally! I've received and have added the new Embroidery
Threads I've been promising for so long! I've added:

Stef Francis Size 5 Perle cotton Overdyed
http://www.eveningstardesigns.citymax.com/page/page/4386340.htm
This thread is so beautiful, and will really help you add
some texture to your embroidery!

Stef Francis Rayon 1800 Overdyed
http://www.eveningstardesigns.citymax.com/page/page/4386409.htm
What a beautiful Shine - and such lovely colors too! I've
been working with this thread and I haven't had the
problems I've had working with other Rayon threads. It is
a single strand - and just right!

Stef Francis Sparkle Chainette Overdyed
http://www.eveningstardesigns.citymax.com/page/page/4386468.htm
This is a Rayon Chainette with a single strand of gold
lurex running through it! The colors are very
sophisticated and exciting! This thread could easily be
couched, or stitched using a large-eye Chenille Needle.

Stef Francis Viscose Chainette
http://www.eveningstardesigns.citymax.com/page/page/4386447.htm
Now here is something very cool. I couldn't resist trying
some of it. It is Rayon (viscose) chainette, the same
thing they use to make tassels, but it is not so shiny, and
is overdyed into some lovely muted hues. I hope you'll
decide to try some!

AND, from the Caron Collection, a whole set of absolutely
gorgeous Rachelette!
http://www.eveningstardesigns.citymax.com/page/page/4386627.htm
Rachelette is a nylon tube, somewhat shiny and very sheer,
dyed in many colors, with a metallic braid running through
it. When you want to put some subtle radiance into a piece
- this is just what you need!

To end, I want to invite all of you inventive, creative and
talented needleworkers to sign up for our "What was I
Thinking?" Swap and Challenge. It is free, like a regular
swap on the internet. Participation in sending in pictures
of your work is completely voluntary (though we'd all love
to see it!)

This should be fun! Let's get together and Challenge
ourselves! Read more about it on the site:

Spring is in the air! My very best to all of you! I look
forward to hearing from you.

Your friend,

Carolyn
