It has been quite a while since I sent out a newsletter, and we've got lot's of new things I know you'd like to hear about!
Last month, I sent out a newsletter letting you all know the winner of the Spring Challenge Contest, Melissa Anaya. I hope you all visited her website, and saw how she created her block - with stunning results!
This month, I'd like to announce the winners of the Viewer's Choice Award! Two entrants were very close during the entire process, and I finally decided that they should both win the award for Viewer's Choice!

We've also added two colors of Crepe-backed satin; a Sage Green and another very versatile color called Spice. The crepe backed satin is somewhat different from regular bridal satin. Bridal Satin is very stable, medium weight, with a very flat and shiny finish on the right side. It is easy to embroider on and piece with.
The Crepe backed Satin is a bit less "stable" with just a little wiggle in it, but still very easy to piece and work with. It has a somewhat textured surface (which I cannot seem to capture in my scans!) and has a kind of "twinkly" effect beyond it's general overall shine. Marcus Brothers is going out of production on it's Tie-Dyed and Texture-Dyed Velveteens! I was able to get a very good buy on these extremely cool, unusual and versatile fabrics!
I have three colors by the bolt: Tie-dyed Forest Canopy, plus Texture Dyed Peacock/Aqua and Green, and Texture Dyed Red/Wine and Fuchsia. In addition, I have a wonderful selection of Bundles (put together by the manufacturer) of Fat Quarters in Both the Tie Dyed and Texture Dyed Velveteens.
