as I did, and it was delightful to see her work progress. It was also very instructive! Please join me in congratulating Melissa on her outstanding accomplishment! I also hope you will visit her blog! There is so much to see and learn there! I have put a link to it in my links page!

Announcing our Viewer's Choice Winners!
Those of you who have been following the voting know that both Barbara Massengill and Gayle Schipper's quilt were very popular among viewers! For much of the time they were barely a vote apart. I decided, therefore, to award each of them the award for Viewer's Choice!
Congratulations to Barbara Massengill and to Gayle Schipper for their outstanding Quilts!
Congratulations go out as well to all the Spring Challenge contributors! $10.00 Gift certificates went out to Virginia Olsen, Betty Donahue, Simcha Newbury and Janine Franc for sharing their beautiful CQ's with us in the contest!
I hope you will all congratulate all these fine Crazy Quilters for their wonderful efforts!
As you view each entry, please keep in mind how very difficult it is to photograph a Crazy Quilt! There are always many shiny fabrics, beads, threads,, ribbons, buttons and trims, and unless you're a very skilled photographer who knows just how to manipulate lighting during photographing, details are sometimes hard to see because of the "glare."
There is nothing that compares to seeing a Crazy Quilt in person. The shine, the depth, the layering of the decoration - all combine to give them an aura that is almost magical!
I've done my best to present these photos and close-ups. Some may have glare problems, and others are a bit blurry due to uneven resolution of the photos. I do think you can get a great idea of all the work that went in to them, and how creative each participant really has been!
