I've finished my first book, Evening Star Designs Blocks with Variations! It is now available and I'm getting lots of great feedback!
What's it all about?
So many Crazy Quilters are always saying they're afraid to cut into their fabrics! I hope with this book, they never will be again! This book contains 52 eight-inch block variations, with detailed instructions on how to use them to piece beautiful CQ blocks from the top (not like ordinary foundation patterns where you piece from the back!).
You'll never be at a loss for a design, and working on these blocks will help you build confidence in CQ piecing from the front so that eventually you will have no trouble doing it on your own (if you wish!).
If you've been working on small projects for a long time, and have been wary of starting in on regular CQ Blocks, this is your answer! These blocks were designed so that you could use them with our ESD Silkies, or without. Each pattern has a specially marked area where you can place a "Silky" - and with only a few, you'll have a theme for a lovely wallhanging or larger project!
Silky collections are on their way! I'm still working out the details, but soon, you'll be able to choose from sets of:
Christmas Silkies, Fairies, Mermaids, Damsels, Butterflies, Birds & Flowers, and many more - or choose your very own collection! Some of these collections will be on the site very soon!

Please note! This book is on CD - which saves us all a lot of printing costs, and shipping costs! You'll be able to print out the whole book, or just the instructions to keep with it, then print out any of the individual 8-inch blocks separately, making them easier to use, and save you lots of paper, space and money! The format is very easy to use, and you'll be having fun working up some beautiful creative blocks with ease from the very start!
